Puppies start their vaccination course at 8 weeks, with three visits about four weeks apart. Your vet will confirm the schedule for your puppy at the first visit.
The antibodies your puppy got from their mother's milk are wearing off around now, which is why this first dose matters. It covers distemper, hepatitis (adenovirus), parvovirus and parainfluenza. The visit also includes a health check, a weight check and the first deworming.
This second dose is what turns that first exposure into lasting immunity. Leptospirosis is part of the same combined vaccine, so it isn't a separate injection. Deworming is repeated, and there's usually time to talk through food, toilet training and safe socialising.
This visit finishes the core course, and the rabies vaccine is given at the same appointment. Rabies is what you need to register your dog with Dubai Municipality. It goes on the vaccination card and against the microchip record, which covers you for registration, boarding and travel paperwork later. Deworming is repeated here too.
Twelve months after the last puppy dose, immunity needs topping up, and it stays annual from then on. That includes the rabies booster. The app tracks the date and reminds you, which matters most when a boarding kennel asks to see the card.

At 8 weeks old. That's when the antibodies from their mother's milk wear off and leave a gap in protection. If your puppy is already past that, it isn't a problem. We start the course at their first visit and keep the remaining doses four weeks apart.
Three core doses, at 8, 12 and 16 weeks, four weeks apart. Leptospirosis is part of the combined DHPPi/DHPPiL vaccine, so it isn't a separate injection. Rabies is given at 16 weeks in the same appointment as the final core dose, which keeps the whole course to three visits. Deworming is repeated at each one. After that it's one booster a year, rabies included.
It depends on which vaccines your pet is due for, their age and weight, and whether you add microchipping or a home visit. Every package includes the vet consultation and health check as well as the vaccine. We confirm the full cost with you before we start, so nothing on the bill is a surprise. Yes. A valid rabies vaccination is needed to register a dog with Dubai Municipality, and registration itself is a legal requirement for owners here. It's given at 16 weeks, alongside the final core dose. Your puppy also needs a microchip paired to their rabies record. The rules are updated from time to time, so check the Dubai Municipality website before you register.
Yes. Every vaccination on our service list can be done as a home visit, and the call-out charge is already in the price. A UAE-licensed vet brings the vaccines to you, and follow-up doses can be booked to the same address. We cover much of Dubai, including Umm Suqeim, Jumeirah, Al Wasl, Dubai Marina, Al Barsha and Al Furjan. Tell us your location when you book and we'll confirm.
We vaccinate cats as well as dogs. There's a kitten package that works the same way as the puppy one, and annual vaccination for adult cats, both at either clinic or as a home visit. We also see rabbits and other small pets, though what applies depends on the species and age. Call a clinic and a vet nurse will talk you through it.
Wait about two weeks after the final dose at 16 weeks, so roughly 18 weeks old. Until then, avoid parks, beaches and anywhere unvaccinated dogs have been. Carrying your puppy outside is fine, and so is meeting fully vaccinated dogs in a private home or garden. Both are good for socialising them.
